The Founding Family’s Story As Told by Cherie
Live Simple and Love Big
My husband and I have been happily married since 1985. We have been blessed with two children who grew into wonderful adults and a lovely daughter-in-law. My husband and I also have four of the greatest grandsons ever!
Life as a Military Family
My husband served in the US Army for 21 and 1/2 years, and our family moved 13 times throughout his career. Life as a military family had a profound impact on our entire family. It required our commitment and dedication through faith. Fortunately, we have settled in our current home in Chautauqua County and have lived here for over 25 years. Chautauqua County feels like "home" since my husband and I were both born and raised in this beautiful area.
Now that he is a retired combat veteran, my husband continues to serve veterans as a state service officer. In this role, he provides counseling to veterans and their families regarding their benefit programs.

My Passion for Dachshunds
I've held multiple jobs throughout my life. However, the most fulfilling one — except for raising my two wonderful children — has been raising red and piebald Dachshunds and nurturing our own Dachshund puppies to love. This is where my heart and soul found happiness! I now have the best job in the world. Every moment spent with these dogs and puppies brings me joy. Throughout the day, they put a smile on my face and make me gut-laugh constantly with all of their goofy little actions! As a breed, Dachshunds are always cheerful, and their enthusiasm is contagious!
What You Can Expect From One of Our Dachshund Puppies
When our Dachshund puppies are ready to go home with their for-ever families, they will be thoroughly spoiled. Each puppy will be up-to-date on age-appropriate shots and deworming, thoroughly vet-checked, and weaned from their mother. They will be eating and drinking independently and sleeping throughout the night. The puppies will also be well-socialized and have been started on paper and potty training. Most of all, they will be very ready to become a part of your family as a loving companion!
Equipping You With an Invaluable Documents and Essentials
All of our Dachshund puppies come with a written and signed one-year guarantee against any congenital conditions that adversely affect their health. For more details, please refer to the "Conditions of Sale" section below.
They will also come with a "puppy folder" that contains: 1) a veterinarian-signed health certificate, 2) a veterinarian-signed shot certificate to show what shots the puppy has had, 3) information about owning an AKC-registered Dachshund puppy, and 4) a "puppy handbook" with information on how to care for your new puppy and information about the Dachshund breed.
Additionally, each puppy will go home with a bag of "FARMINA" natural Puppy food that they have been weaned on, a safe toy, and a blanket washed in our detergent and rubbed with their mother's and littermates' scent. This gives the puppies a familiar item with a comforting scent that will help them on their first couple of nights in their new home with you.

Bring a Dachshund Puppy Home Now
Puppies can join their for-ever homes at eight weeks old. If you see a puppy that you would love to be a part of your family, please place a deposit on your chosen puppy. This will ensure that the special puppy is reserved just for you until it’s ready to come home.
While your puppy is on hold, we will email you updated pictures of your pup each week. You can email or call us anytime with questions about your puppy! We also encourage you to visit your puppy by appointment. Kindly contact us first so we can figure out a good time for a visit that works for both of us.

Deposit and Payment
A $200.00 non-refundable deposit is required to hold the puppy of your choice. This amount will be deducted from the purchase price of your for-ever puppy. We will not hold a puppy just for you without a deposit, as a deposit demonstrates the buyer's seriousness in purchasing the puppy of their choice. A deposit also ensures that your chosen puppy will no longer be available to other buyers. The remainder of the balance is due in cash when you pick up your new puppy. Please note that personal checks, cashier checks, or money orders will not be accepted at pickup.
Pickup Options
For a fee, we offer the option to meet families halfway (within a reasonable distance) or at the Buffalo, NY, airport so that the puppy can fly home with you. Please contact your airline to check their specific regulations about pet travel, as most airlines require puppies to be at least eight weeks old to fly. For instance, Delta Airlines mandates that puppies must be at least ten weeks old for pet travel. Feel free to contact us for more information and to discuss the costs of meeting you.
Recommended Supplements
We recommend NuVet Plus vitamins as a good supplement to enhance your Dachshund puppy's diet
Spreading the Joy of Dachshunds
Many people often ask, "How can you not keep them all?" Cherie's answer is simple: Spending those first eight weeks with such wonderful, precious gifts is an incredible blessing. She is able to witness their growth from the time they are born until the time another wonderful family can step in and make these little ones a part of their own family and enjoy such happiness, too. This is why she chose to raise Dachshunds — to share love and spread joy with others! We love it when people adore our puppies just as much as we do!

Conditions of Sale
Our Dachshund puppies are sold as great-quality pets and wonderful companions. We strive for excellent health, great temperaments, and conformation. If you do not plan to show or breed your puppy, we recommend that you have your new puppy spayed/neutered. We do not and will not willingly sell a puppy to a puppy mill, broker, or pet shop.
Before our Dachshund puppies are sold, they will be examined by a licensed veterinarian and checked for good health (a signed health certificate will be provided). The puppies will have their age-appropriate shots and will be given a deworming medication. After purchase, it is up to the buyer to keep up with all veterinarian check-ups, shots, and deworming. Also, the buyer must license their puppy according to their own state/township laws.
At the time of purchase, this puppy has no known disease, illness, or congenital condition that adversely affects the health of the puppy. The buyer should have the puppy examined by his/her own licensed veterinarian within 7 days after the sale of the puppy. In the unlikely case that there is a health problem with your puppy, a signed "unfit for purchase” certificate by a licensed veterinarian must accompany the return. This certificate must list what illness the pet has. We would also like to have the puppy returned to the breeder/seller to be examined by the breeder/seller's licensed veterinarian to confirm the cause of the illness. The buyer has a 1-year guarantee against any congenital condition that adversely affects the health of the puppy. This guarantee does not include the size or coloring of the puppy. This guarantee will not result in any refund for a puppy that is exposed to sickness or injured while living with the buyer (which includes sickness incurred by being fed a different diet other than specified by the breeder/seller) or by any medication administered by the buyer or his/her veterinarian, for any medical expense incurred by the buyer, or for any undescended testicles in a male puppy. A return for a refund for any other reason will not be accepted by the breeder/seller, such as a disagreement of family, landlord's disapproval, allergies to animals, or for any other reason other than those mentioned above. No refund will be given at all for any transportation costs (which include plane fare or mileage.) It is further understood and agreed that no other warranty nor representation (other than what is stated on pages 1 and 2 of this contract) had been made with respect to this sold puppy.

Returns
We are always willing to accept a Dachshund puppy or dog back that we sold for any reason (without a refund). We would prefer to find a good, safe home for the puppy rather than have them go to an unsafe environment or shelter.
